Localizedmodesinone-dimensional(1D)mediawithuniaxialscatterersthatareassumedtobeorderinspatiallocationbutdisorderinspatialorientationoftheiropticalaxisareinvestigated.Basedontheholisticeffectmodelinrandomlaser,i.e.,therandomlaserisduetotheinteractionofthecomplexlocalizedmodesinactiverandommediawithlocalaperiodicquasi-structurewithappropriatepumplight,aphysicalmodelonthistypeofrandommediaisfound.ItsdisorderdegreeisdefinedbyD=n_o/n_e.Then,thetypicaltransmissionspectrumthroughtherandommediaandthelightfieldintensitydistributioncorrespondingtothedefectmodesinphotonicband-gaparecalculatednumericallybymeansofthetransfermatrixmethod,andtheconditionthatthelocalizedmodeappearsisdiscussed.Resultsshowthatthemediumdisorderplaysanimportantroleindeterminingthelightwavestate.Thelocalizedstateappearswhenthemediumdisorderisstrongenough,andanewmechanismcreatingrandomlaserphenomenonisbroughtforward.
