  • 简介:Objective:Toexploreatreatmentapproachforseverelyinjuredlowerextremities.Methods:Thedataof42patientswithseverelytraumaticlowerextremitiesfrom1989to1999wereretrospectivelyreviewed.AccordingtoMESS(mangledextremityseverityscore)themeanscoreofallthelimbswas6.24±1.45,34caseshadMESSscore<7and8caseshadMESSscore≥7.Treatmentapproachesincludedmicrovascularanastomosistechnique,compoundtissueflaptransplantationtechniqueandcompoundbonetissueflaptransplantation.Conclusions:Successfulemergencytreatmentofseverelyinjuredlowerextremitiescouldbeachievedbyusingmicrosurgerytechniquesandstrictcontrollingoflowerextremitysalvagelindications.

  • 简介:Thispaperaimstoconfirmtheoptimalpruningintensitytopromotepaulowniagrowth.Annualdynamicof8growthindicatorsforpruningofthree-year-oldPaulowniatopromotetnmkextensionweresimulatedunder7treatments.TheresultsshowedthatannualgrowthprocesscouldbemodeledreliablybyRichards'function.Eightgrowthparametersweredevelopedincludingfast-growingpoint(t0),initialpointoffast-growingperiod(tl),finalpointoffast-growingperiod(t2),fast-growingperiod(t),growthperiod(Dg),maximumdayincrement(AGRmax),maximumannualincrement(A).Effectsofpruningtopromotetrunkextensionongrowthparameterswereanalyzed.Paulowniaremaining3-6lowerbranchesafterpruninghadrelativelylongerfast-growingperiod(t),growthperiod(Dg),higheraveragedayincrement(Am),maximumdayincrement(AGRmax)andmaximumannualincrement(A).Therefore,lowerdiametergrowthoforiginaltrunkdidnotdecreasesignificantly,andupperdiametergrowthincreasedtosomeextent,Heightanddiametergrowthofgraftingtrunk,andformratioofgraftingtrunkwererelativelyhigher.Totalstockvolumeincrementwasimprovedsignificantlyundertheconditionthatstockvolumeincrementoforiginaltrunkdidnotdecrease.

  • 简介:AbstractPre-contoured anatomical locking plates were designed to address the clinical need of fixing small epiphyseal segments with a larger number of screws. Those plates match the contour and shape of a variety of bones allowing for optimal buttress properties. The aim of this manuscript is to highlight the benefits of applying proximal humerus locking plates in the fixation of lower extremity bones. Although designed for the proximal humerus, the low-profile plate shape and anatomic contour also provides versatile use in certain areas of the lower extremity. This technical narrative highlights the versatile and reliable use of this plate for other anatomical areas than the one to which it has been originally conceived.

  • 简介:Araucariaangustifolia(Bertol.)O.Kuntzeexhibitsdimorphisminitsstemstructure,wherethetrunkisorthotropicandbranchesandbranchlets(primaryandsecondarybranches)areplagiotropic.Thesestemsexhibitdifferentbehaviorwhenusedforvegetativepropagation,andonlysegmentsoftrunkcanformacompleteplant.Thephysiologicalandbiochemicalmechanismsthatcharacterizethesestemsarestilllittleknown.Theaimofthisstudywastodescribethefreeaminoacidprofilesintrunks,branches,andbranchletsofA.angustifolia.Segmentsof5cminlengthwereexcisedfromyoungindividualsbelowthestemapex.Theneedleswereremovedandsampleswerefrozenandlyophilized.Thedeterminationsweremadebyhigh-performanceliquidchromatography,andtheresultswereexpressedaslg/gfreshweight(FW).Thetrunksandbrancheshadthehighestcontentoftotalaminoacids,whichwere112.23±20.57lg/gFWand111.97±27.78lg/gFW,respectively.Theaminoacids—glutamine,aspartateandc-aminobutyricacidandtyrosine—werenoticeablyhigherinthethreetypesofstems.Inthetrunk,ahigheramountofasparagineandtryptophan,wasalsodetected.Glutamicacidandglutaminewerefoundinhigherquantitiesinthebranches.Thebranchletshadverylowtotalaminoacidcontent(30.79±4.19lg/gFW),whereinasparagineistheonlyaminoacidnotdetected.Thus,itwasobservedthattheprofileofthefreeaminoaciddiffersamongtrunks,branches,andbranchletsinA.angustifolia,indicatingthattheyperformdifferentfunctions.

  • 简介:目的:观察电针不同穴位对脑梗死偏瘫患者脑电的近期影响。方法:将脑梗死患者按2:1比例随机分为电针神经干组和常规电针组,分别予以针刺神经干及针刺常规穴位治疗,每目治疗1次,治疗14次后进行疗效评定。结果:电针神经干组较常规电针纽疗效好,近期脑电差异具有统计学意义(P〈0.05)。结论:电针神经干可明显改善偏瘫肢体的神经功能缺损及脑功能状况,疗效优于常规电针组。

  • 简介:AbstractBackground:Aneurysm of basilar perforator was rarely reported in the literature. It is difficult to treat due to its small size and deep-seated location. Excessive treatment may cause complications that resulted from ischemic events of parent perforators. Therefore, it is important to make clinical strategy for such patients to improve the prognosis.Case presentation:One case, who presented as spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage, despite the negative result in computed tomography angiography firstly, was diagnosed angiographically as a ruptured aneurysm of the basilar perforator. A good clinical outcome of the case was achieved during the follow-up after conservative observation for 2 months, as well as the disappearance of previous lesion from angiography.Conclusions:Aneurysm located at perforator of basilar trunk was rare and difficult to treat. Conservative observation for certain cases with periodic angiography follow-up was considered in order to prevent the patients from potential iatrogenic effects.

  • 简介:Purpose:Thepurposeofthisstudywastocomparethecoordinationbetweenthetrunkandthepelvisduringasustainedasymmetricrepetitiveliftingtaskbetweenagroupwithahistoryoflowbackpain(LBP;HBP)andagroupwithnohistoryofLBP(NBP).Methods:Volunteerslifteda11-kgboxfromankleheightinfronttoashelf45°off-centeratwaistheight,andloweredittothestartpositionat12cycles/minfor10min.Liftingsidewasalternatedduringthetrial.Continuousrelativephasewasusedtocalculatecoordinationbetweenthepelvisandtrunkrotationatthebeginning(Min1),middle(Min5),andendofthebout(Min9).Results:Whiletherewerenomaineffectsforgroup,asignificantinteractionbetweentimeandgroupindicatedthat,inthefrontalplane,theNBPgroupcoordinationwasmoreanti-phasetowardtheendofthebout,withnosuchdifferencesfortheHBPgroup.Analysisofsagittal-axial(bendandtwist)coordinationrevealedtheHBPgroupcoordinationwasmorein-phaseattheendoftheboutovertheentirecycleandfortheliftingphasealone,withnosuchdifferencesfortheNBPgroup.Conclusion:DifferencesbetweengroupsdemonstrateresidualconsequencesofLBPinanoccupationalscenario,eventhoughtheHBPgroupwaspain-freefor>6monthspriortodatacollection.Morein-phasecoordinationintheHBPgroupmayrepresentacoordinationpatternanalogousto'guardedgait'whichhasbeenobservedinotherstudies,andmaylendinsightastowhytheseindividualsareatincreasedriskforre-injury.
