  • 简介:Since1990s,secondlanguagelearningmotivationresearchpresenteddiversifieddevelopmenttendencyinChina,particularlyanempiricalstudyisontherise,whichverifiedthevalidationofforeignlanguagelearningmotivationtheories,andnewdiscoveriesaremade.Inrecentyears,astheInternationalcommunicationandcooperationincreasing,learningEnglishisbecomingthebasicdemandoftalentsin21stcentury.While,toagreatextent,learningEnglishiscloselyrelatedtothelearningmotivation,whenlearnerspositivelywanttolearnandmakebestuseofreasonablemethods,theycangetapprovingresults.Therefore,thisessaywilldiscussmotivationinEnglishforspecificlearning.

  • 简介:ThespecificsignofReynoldsstressintheboundarylayeronaflatplateatzeroincidenceisnewlyinterpretedinpresentpaperbasedonthetheoryofvortex-inducedvortex.Itavoidssomeproblemsappearedinatraditionalexplanation,onthebasisofrelationshipbetweenmeanandfluctuatingflowsduetothetransportofmomentum.Throughtheanalysisoflocalflowfieldintheimmediateneighborhoodofwall,thecharacteristicsofReynoldsstressareidentifiedthroughintroducingturbulence-inducedsmall-scalestreamwiseeddiesabovetheflatplate.ThepositiveReynoldsstressistheoreticallyverified.AndsuchnewinterpretationillustratesthatthegenerationofReynoldsstress,aswellasfluctuatingvelocity,isintrinsicallyindependentofthemeanflow.Butitsspecificsignwouldbedeterminedbythemeanflowduetotheinertialforces.Otherfeatures,suchastheintensityrelationshipamongthreecomponentsoffluctuatingvelocity,arealsopresented.

  • 简介:Background:Overthelastdecades,manyforestsimulatorshavebeendevelopedfortheforestsofindividualEuropeancountries.Theunderlyinggrowthmodelsareusuallybasedonnationaldatasetsofvaryingsize,obtainedfromNationalForestInventoriesorfromlong-termresearchplots.Manyofthesemodelsincludecountry-andlocation-specificpredictors,suchassitequalityindicesthatmayaggregateclimate,soilpropertiesandtopographyeffects.Consequently,itisnotsensibletocomparesuchmodelsamongcountries,anditisoftenimpossibletoapplymodelsoutsidetheregionorcountrytheyweredevelopedfor.However,thereisaclearneedformoregenericallyapplicablebutstilllocallyaccurateandclimatesensitivesimulatorsattheEuropeanscale,whichrequiresthedevelopmentofmodelsthatareapplicableacrosstheEuropeancontinent.ThepurposeofthisstudyistodeveloptreediameterincrementmodelsthatareapplicableattheEuropeanscale,butstilllocallyaccurate.Wecompiledandusedadatasetofdiameterincrementobservationsofover2.3milliontreesfrom10NationalForestInventoriesinEuropeandasetof99potentialexplanatoryvariablescoveringforeststructure,weather,climate,soilandnutrientdeposition.Results:Diameterincrementmodelsarepresentedfor20species/speciesgroups.Selectionofexplanatoryvariableswasdoneusingacombinationofforwardandbackwardselectionmethods.Theexplainedvariancerangedfrom10%to53%dependingonthespecies.Variablesrelatedtoforeststructure(basalareaofthestandandrelativesizeofthetree)contributedmosttotheexplainedvariance,butenvironmentalvariableswereimportanttoaccountforspatialpatterns.Thetypeofenvironmentalvariablesincludeddifferedgreatlyamongspecies.Conclusions:ThepresenteddiameterincrementmodelsarethefirstoftheirkindthatareapplicableattheEuropeanscale.Thisisanimportantsteptowardsthedevelopmentofanewgenerationofforestdevelopmentsimulatorsthatcan

  • 简介:Thispaperpresentsasimpleapproachforimprovingtheperformanceoftheweightedessentiallynonoscillatory(WENO)finitevolumeschemeonnon-uniformgrids.ThistechniquereliesonthereformulationofthefifthorderWENO-JS(WENOschemepresentedbyJiangandShuinJ.Comput.Phys.126:202–228,1995)schemedesignedonuniformgridsintermsofonecell-averagedvalueanditsleftand/orrightinterfacialvaluesofthedependentvariable.Theeffectofgridnon-uniformityistakenintoconsiderationbyaproperinterpolationoftheinterfacialvalues.Onnonuniformgrids,theproposedschemeismuchmoreaccuratethantheoriginalWENO-JSscheme,whichwasdesignedforuniformgrids.Whenthegridisuniform,theresultingschemereducestotheoriginalWENO-JSscheme.Inthemeantime,theproposedschemeiscomputationallymuchmoreefficientthanthefifth-orderWENOschemedesignedspecificallyforthenon-uniformgrids.Anumberofnumericaltestcasesaresimulatedtoverifytheperformanceofthepresentscheme.

  • 简介:Thispaperexploresthemacroeconomicdeterminantsofnon-performingloans(NPL)in19Asiancountries(lowtohighincomeeconomies)usingtheGeneralizedMethodofMomentsestimationapproachbasedontheeconomicdatafortheperiodbetween1998and2015.ThecategorizationoftheeconomiesisbasedontheaveragegrossnationalincomepercapitaassetbytheWorldBank.Specifically,thepaperaimstoevaluateifthedeterminantsofNPLvarywiththeincomelevelsofthecountries.TheresultsindicatethattheNPLisstronglyinfluencedbytheinflationrate.Theeffectis,however,negativeinthehigh-incomeandthemiddle-incomecountriesandpositiveinthelow-incomecountries.TheGDPpercapitahasadynamicnegativerelationshipwiththeNPLinthehigh-incomeandthelow-incomecountries.Theremittancehasasignificantpositiveassociationinthehigh-incomeandasignificantnegativeassociationinthelow-incomecountries.Similarly,theunemploymentratehasapositiveeffectonNPLinthemiddle-incomeandthelow-incomecountries.Withtheriseintheofficialexchangerate,theNPLlevelincreasesinthelow-incomecountries.TheoverallestimationresultssuggestthattheNPLinAsianbankingsystemdependonsomekeymacroeconomicvariables,suchasunemploymentrate,inflationrate,officialexchangerate,remittancereceivedandgrossdomesticproductpercapita,andtheseassociationsvarywiththeincomelevelofthecountries.Therefore,economiclevelofacountryshouldbecarefullyconsideredwhileformulatingcreditpolicytominimizecreditrisksinthebankingsystem.

  • 简介:Eucalyptusisveryrecalcitranttoinvitroculture.Inthisresearch,anefficientshootorganogenesissystemwasdevelopedusing60-day-oldplantsofEucalyptusglobulusgrowninvitroandnon-aeratedliquidmediumtoimproveshootproliferation.Cultureswereinitiatedwithhypocotylsandleafsegmentsfromplantletscultivatedonsemisolid1/2MSmodifiedmediumsupplementedwith4.44lM6-Benzyladenine(BA)and16.1lM1-Naphthaleneaceticacid(NAA).Calliweretransferredtoshootinductionmedium,witheither0.5or2.7lMNAA.Shootmultiplicationwascarriedouton4.44lMBA+0.5lMNAAmedium,andsemisolidandnon-aeratedliquidsystemswerecomparedforimprovingshootproliferation.RootingofadventitiousshootswasevaluatedonmediumcontainingNAAorIndole-3-butyricacid-IBA(5and16lM).Callogenesiswasobtainedfrombothtypesofexplants,althoughshootformationwasonlyobtainedfromleaf-derivedcalli.Shootproliferationon4.44lMBA+0.5lMNAAresultedinthemostshoots/callus.Non-aeratedliquidmediumwasmoreefficientinpromotingshootmultiplication(53.5shoots/callus)thanwassemisolidmedium(28.5shoots/callus).Levelsofphenoliccompoundsweresignificantlyreducedintheshootscultivatedinliquidmedium.Efficientrooting(76%)wasobtainedusing16lMIBA.
