Theseaembankmentisacriticalcivilworksinmarineandcoastalengineering.Inthisstudy,aninnovativetechniqueisproposedforconstructingerectiveseaembankments.Intheconstructionofseaembankments,thistechniqueintegratesPCCpileinstallation,PVDsdrainagesystems,andgeotextilereinforcements,resultinginseaembankmentswithPCCpiles.IntheapplicationofaseaembankmentwithPCCpiles,PCCpilesareemployedastheretainingstructures;thesoftseagroundinsidePCCpilesisdrainedandimprovedbyPVDsandvacuum-surchargecombinedpreloading;geotextile-reinforcedbackfillslyingovertheimprovedsoftgroundformtheembankmentbody.Briefdescrptionsofthefundamentals,designandconstructionoftheseaembankmentwithPCCpilesarepresented.AcasestudyonthestabilityofseaembankmentwithPCCpilesispresentedaswell.
