ObjectiveTostudythetherapeuticeffectoflargedoseofsteroidshortstriketreatmentofseverehepatitis.Methods55patientsofhepaticfailurewererandomlypidedintotreatmentgroup(28cases)andcontrolgroup(27cases).Thesamesynthesistherapywasapphedtothe2groupsroutinely(HGF,KuhuangZhusheye/YinzhihuangZhusheyeandDiammoniumGlycyrrhizinateInjectionetal).28patientsastreatmentgroup,weretreatedwithstefiod(Hydrocortisone300mg/dvesselinjectionfor3daysthen50-100mgredusionforeverytimegradually).ResultThesurvivalrateintreatmentgroup(81.5%)wasobviouslyhigherthanthatincontrolgroup(53.6%);thehospitalizationdurationintreatmentwasshorterthanthatincontrolgroup(P<0.05)thesymptoms(weakness,anorexion,upperabdominaldiscomfortet)oftreatmentgroupwasimprovedmorerapidlythanthatofcontrolgroup;therewasnosignificantdifferenceoftherateofcomplicationsbetweenthe2groups(P<0.05).ConclusionThelargedoseofSteriodtherapycouldimprovethesurvivalrateoftheseverehepatitisandreducethedurationofhospitalization.Alsoitisadvancedtohepatocyterevival.
