Poly(styrene-glycidylmethacrylate)particleshavingbowl-shapedhollowstructuresweresynthesizedbyswollenseedemulsionpolymerization.ThePSemulsionsynthesizedthroughsoap-freeemulsionpolymerizationwasswollenbytoluene,andthenthemixtureofsecondmonomerswasaddedunderpolymerizationcondition.Soathinshellofpoly(styrene-glycidylmethacrylate)cross-linkedbytriethyleneglycoldiacrylatewasformedaroundtheswollenPSparticle.Thebowl-shapedparticleswereobtainedafterthecollapsingofthethinshellwhenthetolueneemanatedfromtheparticles,buttheshapeswereeffectedbythedegreesofcross-linking.TheshapeoftheparticleswasobservedbySEM.ThereleasebehaviorofsolventfromtheparticleswasexaminedbyTG.
