ObjectiveToexplorethebehavioralandphysiologicchangesofsleepintheheroinaddicts.MethodsSleepbehaviorandallnightpolysomnographicrecordingwereperformedin32heroinaddictand21normalcontrols.Results①Comparedwithcontrolgroup,theincidencesofsleepcontinuitydisturbance,easywake,hypersomniaanddifficultyfallingasleepinpatientgroupweersignificantlyincreased(P<0.05—0.01).②REMlatencywasshorterinpatientsthanthatincontrols;andslowwavesleep,steeper,sleepmaintenanceinpatientgroupweremarkedlydecreased(P<0.05—0.01).Whiletheawakedutation,arousaltimes,sleepstage,tateofawake/asleepwereincreasedinpatientgroup(P<0.05—0.01);TheaveragedurationinⅢandⅣstagewas[(9.1±1.3)%]andthedurationinⅠstagewas[(14.8±2.8)%].ConclusionsItisconsistentthebehavioraldimmersofsleepwiththephysiologicdysfunctioninheroinaddicts,andthepathogenesisofsleepdisturbancemayresultfromtheetiologyofheroinaddicts.Heroinaddictshavesevereproblemsinsleepafterdetoxification,Itisveryimportanttopaymoreattentiontotheimprovementofsleepquahityandpsychologicaltreatmentofheroinaddietsduringdetoxiiication.
