AccordingtotheanalyticalcharacteristicsofcubicBsplinefunction,suchascompactnessanddiscontinuoussmoothness,twomethods,GlobalintegralmethodandAssemblingmethodareproposedtocalculatethenon-linearstiffnessmatrixinthesplinefiniteelementmethod.TheGlobalintegralmethodtransformstheintegraloftheproductofsplinefunctionsintothesumofboundarydataoftheproductbyintegralbyparts.TheAssemblingmethodusesthecompactnesscharacteristicsofthesplinefunction,reducesthen+3orderstiffnessmatrixinunitintervaltothe4ordermatrix,andthenobtainstheglobalmatrixbyassemblingthesmallones.Thetwoproposedmethodsareclearintheoryandeasytoberealizedbycomputerprogram,whichcaneffectivelyimprovetheefficiencyofthealgorithmfornonlinearsplineelementmethod.
