Inthispaperwepresentacomparativeanalysisofglobalfrequencyandlocaldeformationdataforalargeconcretebridge.Theasymptoticprobabilitydistributionsofthecentralstatisticsarepresented,andcomparedwithempiricalbootstrapestimates.Bootstrappeddistributionsarecalculatedfromreferencedataobtainedduring1999-2000andusedtodevelopchange-pointalarmcriteriaforthestructure,usingreasonablesensitivitymeasuresdevelopedfromFEMsimulationsandstructuralanalysis.Theimplicationsofthefrequencydataarediscussedinconjunctionwiththestrainanddisplacementmeasurementsinordertodiscerniftheloadcarryingcapacityofthebridgehasbeenaffected.Thecriticalneedformoreadvancedtemperaturecompensationmodelsforlargestructurescontinuallyinthermaldisequilibriumisdiscussed.
