Thefibroblastgrowthfactorreceptor(FGFR)familyplaysimportantrolesinregulatingcellgrowth,proliferation,survival,differentiationandangiogenesis.DeregulationoftheFGF/FGFRsignalingpathwayhasbeenassociatedwithmultipledevelopmentsyndromesandcancers,andthustherapeuticstrategiestargetingFGFsandFGFRinhumancancerarecurrentlybeingexplored.However,fewstudiesontheFGF/FGFRpathwayhavebeenconductedinsarcoma,whichhasapooroutcomewithtraditionaltreatmentssuchassurgery,chemotherapy,andradiotherapy.Hence,inthepresentreview,weprovideanoverviewoftheroleoftheFGF/FGFRpathwaysignalinsarcomaandFGFRinhibitors,whichmightbenewtargetsforthetreatmentofsarcomasaccordingtorecentresearch.
