ThispaperpresentsadaptivehybridprotocolsbasedonthedeclarativenetworkandmainlydiscussestheprincipleandrealizationoftheBayesian-estimationbasedadaptivehybridprotocolinthedeclarativenetwork,whichiswelladaptedtotheMobileAdhocNETwork(MANET).Theadaptivehybridprotocolisdesignedforadhocnetworkswhichhavecharacteristicslikeself-organizing,notrustedparty,flexibility,etc.Thenodesthatrunthehybridprotocolcanautomaticallyselectoneroutingprotocolthatissuitablefordifferentnetworkenvironment.TheBayesian-estimationbasedadaptivestrategy,thatimprovestheadaptabilityandstabilityoftheprotocol,succeedsintheRapidnet,adeclarativenetworkengine.TheresultintheRapidnetprovesthatthehybridprotocolandtheadaptivestrategyarefeasible.Theexperimentonthens-3simulator,anemergingdiscrete-eventnetworksimulator,validatesthatthisprotocolperformswellandreducescommunicationoverheads.
