摘要
Wedevelopanacoustomechanicaltheoryforsemicrystallinepolymersanddemonstratethatacousticradiationforceiscapableofcausinggiantdeformationinthesematerials.Whenapolymerlayerissubjectedtocombinedtensilemechanicalforceinplaneandacousticforce(soundpressure)throughthickness,itbecomesinitiallyhomogeneouslythinbutsooninhomogeneouswhenthetwoforcesreachcriticalconditions.CriticalconditionsforsuchacoustomechanicalinstabilityaretheoreticallydeterminedbasedontheJ2-deformationtheory.Wedemonstratethatpull-ininstabilitycanbeacousticallytriggeredevenifthein-planemechanicalforceisfixed.Bifurcationinthecriticalconditionforacoustomechanicalinstabilityoccurswhenthepolymerexhibitssufficientlylargehardening.Thefindingsofthisstudyenablereliabilitydesignofnovelacousticactuateddevices.
