摘要 Basedonthetheoryofporousmedia,ageneralGurtinvariationalprinciplefortheinitialboundaryvalueproblemofdynamicalresponseoffluid-saturatedelasticporousmediaisdevelopedbyassuminginfinitesimaldeformationandincompressibleconstituentsofthesolidandfluidphase.Thefiniteelementformulationbasedonthisvariationalprincipleisalsoderived.Asthefunctionalofthevariationalprincipleisaspatialintegraloftheconvolutionformulation,thegeneralfiniteelementdiscretizationinspaceresultsinsymmetricaldifferential-integralequationsinthetimedomain.Insomesituations,thedifferential-integralequationscanbereducedtosym-metricaldifferentialequationsand,asanumericalexample,itisemployedtoanalyzethereflectionofone-dimensionallongitudinalwaveinafluid-saturatedporoussolid.Thenumericalresultscanprovidefurtherunderstandingofthewavepropagationinporousmedia.
