  • 简介:Cryosurgeryisaneffectivewayofcuringmanydiseasesincludingtumorsandcancers.Itcanbeappliedusingavarietyofsystemsandcryogens.Cheap,convenient,reliableequipmentstillneedstobedevelopedsothatcryotherapymaybeacceptedbysurgeonsandhospitals.Thispaperpresentsacryosurgeryapparatusthatutilizesanauto-cascaderefrigerationsystem.RefrigerantmixtureR50/R23/R600awasselectedastheworkingfluid.Themixturecompositionwasalteredtoachievelowertemperaturesandhighercapacity.Thelowesttemperatureatthecryoprobecouldbeaslowas-100°C,and8Wrefrigerationcapacitycouldbeobtainedat-80°C.Aniceballof11.6mmdiametercouldbeformedwhenthecryoprobewasimmersedinawaterbathat37°C.

  • 简介:Objective:Thepurposeofthisexperimentalstudywastoexplorethemechanismofthevertebralosteophyteformation.Methods:Anexperimentalmodelofcervicalspondylosisinrabbitswasestablishedbyresectionofthecervicalsupraspinousandinterspinousligamentsanddetachmentoftheposteriorparavertebralmusclesfromcervicalvertebrae.Becauseofindividualdifference,Thenaturaldevelopmentprocedureofthevertebralosteophyteformationcouldbeseenwithamicroscopebydynamicobservation.Results:Thecartilageend-platewasdividedintoagrowthcartilagelayerandanarticularcartilagelayer.Vertebraeanddiscsfromthe3-monthcontrolgrouprabbitsshowednormalstructure.Thechangesofcartilageplatesfromthe3-montheexperimentalgroupandthe8-monthcontrolgroupanimalsshowedproliferationinperipheralarticularcartilage.Theosteophytesfromthe8-montheexperimentalgroupanimalscouldbeseen.Theosteophyteobviouslyarisedfromproliferation,calcificationandossificationoftheperipheralarticularcartilage.Conclusions:Thevertebralosteophytearisesfromproliferationofperipheralarticularcartilagewhichundergoescartilaginousosteophyte,andthenchangesintobonyosteophytethroughanendochondrqalcalcificationandossification.

  • 简介:Thispaperpresentsakinematicanalysisofthelocomotionofagecko,andexperimentalverificationofthekinematicmodel.Kinematicanalysisisimportantforparameterdesign,dynamicanalysis,andoptimizationinbiomimeticrobotresearch.Theproposedkinematicanalysiscansimulate,withoutiteration,thelocomotionofgeckosatisfyingtheconstraintconditionsthatmaintainthepositionofthecontactedfeetonthesurface.Sothemethodhasanadvantageforanalyzingtheclimbingmotionofthequadrupedmechanisminarealtimeapplication.Thekinematicmodelofageckoconsistsoffourlegsbasedon7-degreesoffreedomspherical-revolute-sphericaljointsandtworevolutejointsinthewaist.Themotionofthekinematicmodelissimulatedbasedonmeasurementdataofeachjoint.Themotionofthekinematicmodelsimulatestheinvestigatedrealgecko’smotionbyusingtheexperimentalresults.Theanalysissolvestheforwardkinematicsbyconsideringthemodelasacombinationofclosedandopenserialmechanismsundertheconditionthatmaintainsthecontactpositionsoftheattachedfeetontheground.Themotionsofeachjointarevalidatedbycomparingwiththeexperimentalresults.Inadditiontothemeasuredgait,threeothergaitsaresimulatedbasedonthekinematicmodel.Themaximumstridesofeachgaitarecalculatedbyworkspaceanalysis.Theresultcanbeusedinbiomimeticrobotdesignandmotionplanning.
