简介:Theplenopticcameraisasinglelensstereocamerawhichcanretrievethedirectionoflightrayswhiledetectingtheirintensitydistribution.Inthispaper,torevealmoretruthsofplenopticcameraimaging,wepresentthewavefrontanalysisfortheplenopticcameraimagingfromtheangleofphysicalopticsbutnotfromtheraytracingmodelofgeometricoptics.Specifically,thewavefrontimagingmodelofaplenopticcameraisanalyzedandsimulatedbyscalardiffractiontheoryandthedepthestimationisredescribedbasedonphysicaloptics.Wesimulateasetofrawplenopticimagesofanobjectscene,therebyvalidatingtheanalysisandderivationsandthedifferencebetweentheimaginganalysismethodsbasedongeometricopticsandphysicalopticsarealsoshowninsimulations.
