  • 简介:Thesubbandstructures,distributionsofelectronandholewavefunctions,statedensity,opticalgainspectra,andtransparencycarrierdensityoftheV-grooveZn1-xCdxSe/ZnSequantumwiresareinvestigatedtheoreticallyusingfourbandeffective-massHamiltonian,whichtakesintoaccounttheeffectsofthevalencebandanisotropyandthebandmixing.Thebiaxialstraineffectforquantumwiresisincludedinthecalculation.ThecompressivestrainintheZn1-xCdxSewireregionincreasestheenergyseparationbetweentheuppermostsubbands.Theopticalgainwithxy-polarizedlightisenhanced,whileopticalgainwithz-polarizedlightisstronglydecreased.Thexy-polarizedopticalgainspectrumhasapeakataround2.541Ev,withthetransparencycarrierdensityof0.75×1018 cm-3.Thecalculatedresultsalsoshowthatthestraintendstoincreasethequantumconfinementandenhancetheanisotropyoftheopticaltransitions.

  • 简介:The30mmthickASTM4130steelpipewasfabricatedbygastungstenarcweldingandshieldedmetalarcweldingunderquenchedandtemperedconditions.Whereafter,themechanicalpropertiesofweldedjointsofbothVgrooveandcombinationdouble.Vgrooveweremeasured,whilethemicrostructurefeatureandfracturemorphologyofbothweldedjointswereinvestigated.Moreover,theeffectofgrooveshapesonthepropertiesofweldedjointswasexplored.TheresultsshowthattheweldingefficiencyofthecombinationdoubleVgroovejointisastwotimesasthatoftheVgroovejoint.Butthehardnessandtoughnessoftheheat-affectedzone(HAZ)withcombinationdoubleVgroovecannotsatisfytherequirements.Also,thecoarsegrainheat-affectedzone(CGHAZ)ofthecaplayerismainlycomposedofgranularbainite,temperedmartensiteandasmallamountofcarbon-freebainite,andthefracturedsurfaceofthefusionlineisentirelydominatedbythequasi-cleavagemode.ThatthemechanicalpropertiesofthecombinationdoubleVgroovearelowerthanthatoftheVgroovelieinthepenetrationratio,weldingheatinput,andtheareasanddistributionfeatureofbrittlezones.ThecombinationdoubleVgrooveisnotsuitableforthefabricatingofASTM4130steel.

  • 简介:Constrainedgroovepressing(CGP)isanewsevereplasticdeformationmethodsuitableforproducingultra-finegrainedsheetmetals.Inthiswork,theprocessingefficiencyforamuti-passCGPofpurecopperwasinvestigated.Witharelativelysmallgroovewidthof2mmandtightconstraint,asharpvariationofmechanicalpropertieswithpassnumberisobserved.Subgrainswiththesizeof*0.5lmhavedistinctboundaries,whichisthepredominantfeatureinthemicrostructureafterthreepasses.Theevolutionofdeformationhomogeneitycharacterizedbymicro-hardnessdistributionwasexaminedindetail.Observationsofopticalmicrographsandfracturesurfacemorphologyconfirmtheevolutionrule.Therelationbetweenelectricalresistivityandaccumulativeplasticstrainwasdiscussed.Crystallinedefects,micro-cracks,andmicrostructureuniformitytogetherdeterminethechangeofelectricalresistivityofCGPcopper.

  • 简介:Theinfluenceofgalvannealingonthetransformationofthesink-rollgroove-markdefectwasstudiedbycomparingthedefectsongalvannealed(GA)coatingwiththoseongalvanized(GI)coating,ItwasfoundthatdefectsonGIcoatingcontainedhighamountsofaluminum,zincdross,andazinc-ironintermetallicoutburststructure,aswellasslightscratchesonthesubstrate.Afterbeinggalvannealed,thealuminumcontentwashigherandtherewasamuchgreateroutburststructure,whichmadethecoatingofthedefectthickerthanthenormalcoating,whilethezincdrossandscratchesonthesubstratehaddisappearedduetozincandirondiffusionduringthegalvannealingprocess.

  • 简介:InthisstudyweconductedsingleV-groovebuttwelding(GTAW)onthreetypesofheattreatablealuminumalloys2024-T351,6061-T6and7075-T6andcomparedtheangulardistortionlevelsofthethreealuminumalloysatdifferentVeepreparationangleswithorwithoutrestraint.ExperimentalresultsdemonstratedthatwhentheVeepreparationanglewas0°(I-shapedgroove),theangulardistortionleveloftherestrainedweldmentcanexceedthatoftheunrestrainedweldments.Moreover,whentheVeepreparationanglewas45°,60°or90°,therestrainedweldmenthadlowerangulardistortionthantheunrestrainedweldments.ThesingleVeepreparationangle(amountoffillermetal)inbuttweldingaffectedtheangulardistortionoftheweldment.Withoutrestraint,theangulardistortiontendedtoincreasewiththesingleVeepreparationangle.Meanwhile,theangulardistortiontendedtodecreasewhenthesingleVeepreparationanglewas60°.Additionally,arestrainedweldmenthadhighangulardistortionwhenthesingleVeepreparationanglewas0°.Notably,theangulardistortiontendedtoreducewithincreasingsingleVeepreparationangle.Theangulardistortionoftheweldmentwasminimizedatanangleof60°.However,theangulardistortionincreasedwhentheVeepreparationangleexceeded60°.Thehigh-temperatureyieldstrengthofamaterialalsoaffecteditsangulardistortion.Angulardistortionincreasedwithhigh-temperatureyieldstrength.Experimentalresultsalsoshowedthat,fromthestrongesttotheweakest,thehigh-temperatureyieldstrengthofthethreetypesofaluminumalloysfollowedtheorder6061-T6and2024-T351>7075-T6.

  • 简介:AnovelopticalfibersensorwithaU-shapedmicro-groovestructureablatedbyfemtosecondlaseronsingle-modefi-berformeasuringairrelativehumidity(RH)isreportedinthispaper.Inordertoimprovetheaccuracyofsensor,agrapheneoxide(GO)/polyvinylalcohol(PVA)compositefilmiscoatedonthesurfaceofmicro-groovestructure.IntheU-shapedmicro-groovestructure,theremainingcoreandmicro-cavityinthemicro-groovemakeuptwomajorop-ticalpropagationpaths,formingaMach-Zehnderinterferometer(MZI).ThesensorhasagoodlinearresponsewithintheRHrangeof30%--85%,andthemaximumsensitivitycanreach0.6381mrd%RH.Theeffectoftemperatureontheoverallperformanceofthehumiditysensorisalsoinvestigated.Asanewtypeofall-fiberdevice,thesensorshowsexcellentsensitivityandstability.

  • 简介:Pipesarewidelyusedtotransportgas,oilandwaterinindustries.Dragreductioninpipesisanincreasinglyconcernedproblemtosaveenergy.Someresearcheshaveindicatedthatthenon-smoothsurfacewithspecialstructurescanreduceflowloss.Inthispaper,anexperimentalinvestigationhasbeenperformedontheeffectsofakindofsurfacegrooveonthedraginbothrectangularandcircularductatdifferentReynoldsnumbers.Intheexperimentoftherectangularduct,totalpressureatbothinletandoutletweremeasured.Staticpressureonthewallwasmeasuredonthesurfacewithsmoothandgroovedfilmrespectively.Inthecircularduct,aboundarylayerpressureprobewasusedtomeasurethetotalpressuredistributionatbothinletandoutlet.Fourtapsatinletandoutletwereusedtomeasurestaticpressure.Thelosscoefficientisusedtoevaluatetheeffectsofthesurfacegrooveondragreduction.TheexperimentwasconductedwiththeReynoldsnumberrangefrom1.28×10~4to2.57×10~4.Theresultshowsamaximumdraglossreductionofapproximately2.4%inrectangularductatReynoldsnumberof2.4×10~4.A10%reductionofpipepressurelossbygroovedsurfaceismeasuredincircularductataReynoldsnumberof3.0×10~5.
