  • 简介:ThedatarecordedduringthesitesurveyintheZhangzhouareainFujianProvincebetweenOctober23,2007andDecember3,2007wasanalyzed.Themainmethodsadoptedforthenoiselevelofthisareaarethenoiserootmeansquare(RMS),noisepowerspectrumdensityandnoisecoherencyfunction.Theresultsindicatethatthenoiselevelsofthesurveysitesarehigherinthe1s-10speriods,whichisthemainfrequencybandofpreliminarymicroseism,andalso,twomainnoisesourceswerefoundin1.5Hzandaround5Hz.Accordingtoarithmetic,thedirectionandfrequencybandofthenoisesourcewereanalyzedandacademicproofswerepresented.Atlast,wefoundthatthenoisesourcein1.5Hzwasmadebythewaterwavearousedbythewindinthereservoirregionandthenoisesourcearound5Hzwasmadebythepowerstationinthenortheastdirection

  • 简介:Summarizingtheexistingdataofseismologicalandgeologicalinvestigationsanclorstrongandintermediate-strongearthquakesintheSichuanbasinanditsadjacentareasaccumulatedbytheseismologicalandpetroleumorganizationsinSichuanandoftheresultsofseismicprospectinganddetailedexplorationinChengdudepressionduringthelast20yearspermittednstostudythetypesanddistributionofhiddenstructuresinChengdudepressionanditsadjacentareas,inparticular,toidentifyindetailthe"hiddenfaults"intheChenngdu-Deyangareaontheonehand;TheobtaineddataindicatethattheNE-trendingXinjinfaultrunsnorthwardanddiesoutinthesouthofPenzhentownofShuangiiuCounty.Meanwhile,westudiedgeneticrelationsofseismicactivitytoactivefaultsandtheircorrespondingmovementcharacteristicsontheotherhand.Moreover,thesurfacefaultsanddeep-seatedfaultsareclearlydefinedandoutlined,and5typesofseismogenicfaultssuggested.TheknowledgethusobtainedenablesustodelimitthefocalzonesforpotentialstrongearthquakesinChengdudepression.Thestudysuggeststhatazoneof40kmwideandmorethan100kmlongonsidesalongtheChengdu-Deyanglinehasastableseismogeologicalbackgroundandgoodengineering-seismologicalconditions.

  • 简介:Inthisstudy,theNorthChinaseismicregionwasselectedasthestudyarea,andevaluationofseismichazardusingthespatialsmoothingseismicitymodelwasperformed.Firstly,thestudyareaisdividedintogrids,andsomeparameters(e.g.b-value,M0,Mu,azimuthandM-Lrelationship)foreachseismotectonicmodelwereassigned.Secondly,usingellipticalsmoothingbasedonaseismotectonicbackgroundmodel,thestatisticalearthquakeincidencerateineachgridissuccessivelycalculated.Lastly,therelevantgroundmotionattenuationrelationshipischosentoassessseismichazardofgeneralsites.Themapsforthedistributionofhorizontalpeakgroundaccelerationwith10%probabilityofexceedancein50yearswereobtainedbyusingtheseismichazardanalysismethodbasedongridsource.Thisseismicitymodelsimplifiesthemethodologyofprobabilisticseismichazardanalysis,especiallyappropriateforthoseplaceswhereseismictectonicsisnotyetclearlyknown.Thismethodcanprovidevaluablereferencesforseismiczonationandseismicsafetyassessmentforsignificantengineeringprojects.

  • 简介:UsingGPSobservationsofhorizontalmovementfrom2001to2003andthecross-faultmobileshort-levellingdataof1988~2003,andwiththeaidoftheimprovednegativedislocationmodelandthetime-varyingcurveofstrainintensityratiooffaultdeformation,theregionaltectonicdeformationbackgroundandmedium-andshort-termprecursorsrelatedtothepreparationoftheMinle-ShandanearthquakesofMs6.1andMs5.8onOctober25,2003areinvestigated.Theresultsrevealthat,underthebackgroundofthewide-rangedeformationadjustment,short-termrelaxationandrecoverycausedbytheKuulunMountainsearthquakeofMsS.1,thehypocentersoftheearthquakesarelocatedonthenorthedgeoftheshearstressenhancementzonebetweenthecompressionallockedsegmentsofblockboundaryfault,aplacewhichmayrepresentanacceleratedstrainaccumulation.Anobviousanomalyofstrainintensityratioappearedinshort-levellingmeasurementscrossingoverthefaultattheShihuiyaokousite,theclosesttotheepicenters,3monthsbeforetheoccurrenceoftheearthquakes.Inaddition,thevariationinnumberofanomaliesfrom10-odddaystomonthsbeforetheearthquakesintheentiremonitoringareaandtheanomalyconcentrationandlocalenhancementrelativetonearsourceinthe3monthsbeforetheearthquakesareregardedtobeprecursorstothetwoevents.

  • 简介:AnM=6.0earthquakeoccurredonFebruary23,2001inthewesternSichuanProvince,China.Themacroseismicepicentersituatedinthehighmountain-narrowvalleyregionbetweenYajiangandKangdingcounties.Accordingtofieldinvestigationintheregion,theintensityofepicentralareareachedVIIIandtheareaswithintensityVIII,VIIandVIare180km2,1472km2and3998km2,respectively.TheisoseismalsaregenerallyinellipticshapewithmajoraxistrendingnearN-Sdirection.TheearthquakedestroyedmanybuildingsandproducedsomephenomenaofgroundfailureandmountainousdisastersintheareawithintensityVIII.Thiseventmayberesultedfromlong-termactivitiesoftheLitangfaultandYunongxifault,twomainfaultsinthewesternSichuan.Themovementsbetweenthemainfaultsmadethecruststressadjustedandconcentrated,andfinallytheearthquakeonasecondaryfaultintheblockreleasedaquitelargeenergy.

  • 简介:TheregionaltectonicbackgroundandcharacteristicsofactivefaultsoftheYutianMS7.3earthquakeonFebruary12,2014arediscussedinthispaper.AftertheanalysisoftheepicenterareaoftheMS7.3earthquakein2014andthefocalmechanismsoftheformerstrongearthquakesaroundit,theauthorsdeducedthattheseismogenicfaultoftheMS7.3earthquakeistheeastbranchoftheAshikulefault.TheMS7.3earthquakein2014andtheMS7.3earthquakein2008aretwostrongearthquakeeventsonthedifferentsectionsoftheAltunTaghfault,wherethefaultbehaviorchangesfromsinistralsliptonormalfaultingbecauseoftheextensionaltaileffectsinthesouthernendoftheAltunTaghfault.ItisconcludedthatthetwoMS7.3earthquakeshavethesamedynamicsource,andtheMS7.3earthquakein2008promotedtheoccurrenceoftheMS7.3earthquakein2014.Finally,wecalculatetheCoulombstresschangetotheseismogenicfaultoftheMS7.3earthquakein2014fromtheMS7.3earthquakein2008usingthelayeredcrustmodel.TheresultalsoshowsthattheMS7.3earthquakein2008acceleratedtheoccurrenceoftheMS7.3earthquakein2014.
