  • 简介:ThereconstructionandsubsequentparticleidentificationisachallengeinacomplexandahighluminosityenvironmentsuchasthoseexpectedintheATLASdetectorattheLHC.TheATLASsoftwarehaschosentheobjectorientedparadigmandhasrecentlymigratedmuchofitssoftwarecomponentsdevelopedearlierusingproceduralprogramminglanguages.Thenewsoftware,whichemphasizesontheseparationbetweenalgorthmsanddataobjects,hasbeensuccessfullyintegratedinthebroaderATLASframework.Wewillpresentastatusreportofthereconstructionsoftwaresummarizingtheexperiencesgainedinthemigrationofseveralsoftwarecomponents.Wewillexaminesomeofthecomponentsofthecalorimetersoftwaredesign,whichincludesimulationofreal-timedetectoreffectsandonlineenvironment,andstrategiesdeployedforidentificationofparticles.

  • 简介:InthisupdatereportaboutanObjectOriented(OO)trackreconstructionmodel,whichwaspresentedatCHEP'97,CHEP'98,andCHEP'2000,weshalldescribesubsequentnewdevelopmentssincethebeginningofyear2000.TheOOmodelfortheKalmanfilteringmethodhasbeendesignedforhighenergyphysicsexperimentsathighluminosityhadroncolliders.IthasbeencodedintheC++programminglanguageoriginallyfortheCMSexperimentatthefutureLargeHadronCollider(LHC)atCERN,andlaterhasbeensuccessfullyimplementedintothreedifferentOOcomputingenvironments(includingthelevel-2triggerandofflinesoftwaresystems)oftheATLAS(anothermajorexperimentatLHC).Forthelevel-2triggersoftwareenvironment.weshallselectivelypresentsomelatestperformanceresults(e.g.theB-physicseventselectionforATLASlevel-2trigger,therobustnessstudyresult,ets.).Fortheofflineenvironment,weshallpresentanew3-Dspacepointpackagewhichprovidestheessentialofflineinput.AmajordevelopmentafterCHEP'2000istheimplementationoftheOOmodelintothenewOOsoftwareframeworkAthena"ofATLASexperiment.ThenewmodularizationofthisOOpackageenablesthemodeltobemoreflexibleandtobemoreeasilyimplementedintodifferentsoftwareenvironments.Alsoitprovidesthepotentialtohandlethemorecomlpicatedrealisticsituation(e.g.toincludethecalibrationcorrectionandthealignmentcorrection,etc.)Somegeneralinterfaceissues(e.g.designofthecommontrackclass)ofthealgorithmstodifferentframeworkenvironmentshavebeeninvestigatedbyusingthisOOpackage.

  • 简介:Bariumferrite(BaM)thinfilmsaredepositedonplatinumcoatedsiliconwafersbypulsedlaserdeposition(PLD).Theeffectsofdepositionsubstratetemperatureonthemicrostructure,magneticandmicrowavepropertiesofBaMthinfilmsareinvestigatedindetail.Itisfoundthatmicrostructure,magneticandmicrowavepropertiesofBaMthinfilmareverysensitivetodepositionsubstratetemperature,andexcellentBaMthinfilmisobtainedwhendepositiontemperatureis910℃andoxygenpressureis300mTorr(1Torr=1.3332×102Pa).X-raydiffractionpatternsandatomicforcemicroscopyimagesshowthatthebestthinfilmhasperpendicularorientationandhexagonalmorphology,andthecrystallographicalignmentdegreecanbecalculatedtobe0.94.Hysteresisloopsrevealthatthesquarenessratio(Mr/Ms)isashighas0.93,thesaturatedmagnetizationis4004Gs(1Gs=104T),andtheanisotropyfieldis16.5kOe(1Oe=79.5775A·m-1).Ferromagneticresonancemeasurementsrevealthatthegyromagneticratiois2.8GHz/kOe,andtheferromagneticresonancelinewithis108Oeat50GHz,whichmeansthatthisthinfilmhaslowmicrowaveloss.ThesepropertiesmaketheBaMthinfilmshavepotentialapplicationsinmicrowavedevices.
