简介:Waveguideinvariantiswidelyusedinunderwatertargetpassiveranging.Inshallowwaterwithuniformsoundspeedprofile,thevalueofwaveguideinvariantisapproximatelyaconstant,whileinshallowwaterwiththermocline,itvariesinawiderange.Thewaveguideinvariantdistributionsandstriationsinthesetwoconditionsareanalyzedrespectively.Onthebasisofwavenumberdifferencebetweenreflectedmodesandrefractedmodes,awavenumber-frequencydomainfilteringtechniqueisproposedtoseparatethetwogroupsofmodes.Therequiredrelationshipbetweenarrayelementspace,totalarraylengthandtargetazimuthforeffectiveapplicationisdiscussed.Finally,thesimulationresultsindicatethatinshallowwaterwithathermocline,refractedmodescanbeeffectivelyfilteredoutusingthewavenumber-frequencydomainfilteringtechniqueandthetarget’srangeisestimatedaccurately.
