摘要 Ahigh-carbonsteeljoint,SK5(0.84wt%C),wassuccessfullyweldedbyfrictionstirwelding(FSW),bothwithoutandwithagastorch,inordertocontrolthecoolingrateduringwelding.Afterwelding,theweldzonecomprisedgrayandblackregions,correspondingtomicrostructuralvariation:amartensitestructureandaduplexstructureofferriteandcementite,respectively.ThevolumefractionofthemartensitestructureandtheVickershardnessintheweldsweredecreasedwiththeusingofthegastorch,whichwasrelatedwiththelowercoolingrate.
