摘要 Flowdistributionheadersplayamajorroleinheatexchangers.Theselectionofheaderdiameter,branchpipediameter,branchpipespacingetc.isbasedonthedesigner'sexperienceandgeneralguidelines.Theproperselectionoftheheaderdimensionswillyielduniformflowdistributioninheatexchangers,whichinturnwillenhancetheheatexchangerefficiency.Inthiswork,theflowdistributioninbranchpipesandthepressurevariationacrossthebranchpipesinlaminarandlowturbulenceregionisstudiedwithtwomodelsoftheinletdividingheaders.Whenthenumericalanalysishasbeenapplied,itsinabilitytopredictthenoflowconditionthroughthebranchpipesisrevealed.Theresultsarepresentedintheformofflowrateratiothroughbranchpipesandnondimensionalcoefficientsacrossbranchpipeswhichareusefultoapplytheexistingmathematicalmodelsforthepresentexperimentalsetup.
