摘要
Theobjectiveofthispaperistogiveaconstructiveapproachtothesolutionofthefundamentalfunctionsforcardinalinterpolationfromashift-invariantspacegeneratedbythe(multi-)integertranslatesofsomecompactlysupportedfunctionwhosepolynomialsymbolhasanon-emptyzeroset.ThisproblemwasfirstintroducedbyChut,Diamond,andRaphael,whereexplicitsolutionsweregivenforvariouszerosets.Later,deBoor,Hollig,andRiemenschneidergaveanexistenceproofforzerosetswhicharemoregeneral.Inthispa-per,wegiveanintegralrepresentationofthefundamentalsolutionsthatcanbemadeexplicitinsomecasesandwewillalsogiveagrowthconditionofsuchfundamentalsolutions.Thefour-directionalboxsplineswillbeusedasanillustrativeexample.
