CLUSTERING VALIDITY BASED ON THE IMPROVED SDBW INDEX-中国期刊网

摘要 Formanyclusteringalgorithms,itisveryimportanttodetermineanappropriatenumberofclusters,whichiscalledclustervalidityproblem.Inthispaper,anewclusteringvalidityassessmentindexisproposedbasedonanovelmethodtoselectthemarginpointbetweentwoclustersforin-ter-clustersimilaritymoreaccurately,andprovidesanimprovedscatterfunctionforintra-clustersimilarity.Simulationresultsshowtheeffectivenessoftheproposedindexonthedatasetsunderconsiderationregardlessofthechoiceofaclusteringalgorithm.
