Abetterunderstandingofarecentlyraisedargumentonwhetherthereoccursastructurechangeduringyieldinghasbeenacquiredbyusingmolecularsimulation.Thatis,whenmonitoringthedisplacementsofallatomsbeforeandaftertheyield,astructuretransitiondoesoccur,whichisthe'atomicjump'thatcoordinatestheamountoftheatomsinthepolymerandmakesalargestepbeyond--0.05nmforallthoseatoms.Resultsindicatethatthecomplexofpolymerchainpackinginducesthemultipleatomicjumpsaroundtheyieldpoint.Thisexplainswhypolymershaveabroaderyieldingpeak.``
