摘要 Thefreenon-linearvibrationofaxiallymoving,elastic,andtensionedbeamsonfixedsupportsisinvestigatedinthispaper.Twotypesofnon-linearity,namely,thedifferentialtypeandintegro-differentialtype,areanalyzed.Approximatesolutionsaresoughtusingthemethodofmultiplescales.Thecontributionofnon-linearitytotheresponseincreaseswiththeaxialspeed,andgrowsmostrapidlynearthecriticalspeed.Ithasbeenfoundthatthedifferentialtypenonlinearityisstrongerthantheintegro-differentialtypenon-linearitybyanalyzingthenon-lineareffectsonnaturalfrequencies.
