Risk factors of military training-related injuries in recruits oif Chinese Peoiple's Armed Police Forces

摘要 Objective:Toassesstheincidence,typesandriskfactorsofmilitarytraining-relatedinjuriesinrecruitsofChinesePeople'sArmedPoliceForces(CPAPF).Methods:Acohortstudywasmadeontheriskfactorsofinjuriesin805malerecruitsduringthemilitarytrainingfromDecember25,1999toDecember25,2000.Results:Atotalof111recruits(14%)experiencedoneormoreinjuries,andthecumulativeincidencewas16.1injuries,andthecumulativeincidencewas16.1inujriesper100soldiersinayear.And77.7%oftheinjuriesbelongedtooveruseinjuriesoftheskeletalandmuscularsystems,themostcommontypeofwhichwasstressfractures.Mostinjuriesoccurredinthe3rdmonthoftraining.Univariateanalysisandlogisticregressionanalysisofpossibleriskfactorsforoveruseinjurieswerecarriedout,andanumberofriskfactorswereidentified:historyofagriculturallabor,historyoflowerlimbinjury,flatfootandlessrunningexercisebeforeentryintothearmy.Butasuitablebodymassindex(BMI)wasaprotectivefactor.Examinationofage,bodyheight,smoking,bodyflexibilityandfrequencyof2-milerunningrevealednosignificantassociationwiththeinjuries.Conclusions:Historyofagriculturallabor,historyoflowerlimbinjury,flatfoot,lessrunningexercisebeforeentryintothearmyandlowerBMIwereriskfactorsoftheoveruseinjuries.Inordertodecreasetheincidenceofoveruseinjuries,theyoungpeoplewithgoodphysicalabilityandshapelybodytypeshouldbeselectedduringconscription.Duringthetraining,nutritionshouldbeimprovedsoastodecreasetheincidenceofinjuries.
