摘要
Sincethe1970s,outcomestudiesforchildrenwithhearinglossexpandedfromfocusingonassessingauditoryawarenessandspeechperceptionskillstoevaluatinglanguageandspeechdevelopment.Sincetheearly2000s,themulti-centerlargescaleresearchsystematicallystudiedoutcomesintheareasofauditoryawareness,speech-perception,languagedevelopment,speechdevelopment,educationalachievements,cognitivedevelopment,andpsychosocialdevelopment.Thesestudiesadvocatedtheestablishmentofbaselineandregularfollow-upevaluationswithacomprehensiveframeworkcenteredonlanguagedevelopment.Recentresearchinterestsalsoincludeunderstandingthevastdifferencesinoutcomesforchildrenwithhearingloss,understandingtherelationshipsbetweenneurocognitivedevelopmentandlanguageacquisitioninchildrenwithhearingloss,andusingoutcomestudiestoguideevidence-basedclinicalpractice.AftertheestablishmentofstandardizedMandarinlanguageassessments,outcomesresearchinMainlandChinahasthepotentialtoexpandbeyondauditoryawarenessandspeechperceptionstudies.
