摘要
Recentlytherehasbeengreatprogressinlaser-drivenplasma-basedacceleratorsbyexploitinghigh-powerlasers,whereelectronbeamscanbeacceleratedtomulti-GeVenergyinacentimeter-scaleplasmaduetothelaserwakefieldaccelerationmechanism.While,todate,worldwideresearchonlaserplasmaacceleratorshasbeenfocusedonthecreationofcompactparticleandradiationsourcesforbasicsciences,medicalandindustrialapplications,thereisgreatinterestinapplicationsforhigh-energyphysicsandastrophysics,exploringunprecedentedhigh-energyfrontierphenomena.Inthiscontext,wepresentanoverviewofexperimentalachievementsinlaserplasmaaccelerationfromtheperspectiveoftheproductionofGeV-levelelectronbeams,anddeducethescalingformulascapableofpredictingexperimentalresultsself-consistently,takingintoaccountthepropagationofarelativisticlaserpulsethroughplasmaandtheacceleratingfieldreductionduetobeamloading.Finally,wepresentdesignexamplesfor10-GeV-levellaserplasmaacceleration,whichisexpectedinnear-termexperimentsbymeansofpetawatt-classlasers.
