摘要
Anewmulti-moderesistivityimagingsonde,withtoroidalcoilsassource,canconductthreeresistivitymeasurements:azimuthalresistivity,lateralresistivity,andbitresistivitymeasurements.Thus,theloggingtimeandcostaregreatlysaved.Thetoroidalcoilsaresimplifiedasanextendedvoltagedipoleandtheresponseequationsarederivedforahomogenousformation.Basedon3DFEM,thedepthofinvestigation(DOI),verticalresolution,circumferentialazimuthalcapacity,boreholediameter,mudresistivity,thicknessoftargetformation,andtheresistivityofthesurroundingformationandmudinvasionaresimulated.TheresultssuggestthatthethreemeasurementmodesofthenewsondearedifferentinverticalresolutionsandDOIs.Thecircumferentialdetectionabilityoftheazimuthbuttondependsonthecontrastbetweentheanomalyandformationresistivityandtheopenangleoftheanomaly.Whethertheboreholeistruncatedatthebitornothasagreatinfluenceonthesimulationresults.Theboreholeandmudinvasionaffecttheapparentresistivityinallmodes,buttheeffectsofresistivityofsurroundingformationandthicknessofthetargetformationareonlycorrectedforlateralresistivitymeasurement.
