Global Burden of Cardiovascular Disease-中国期刊网

摘要 Cardiovasculardisease(CVD)isthenumberonecauseofmortalityworld-wideandplacesahighmedicalandsocioeconomicburdenondevelopingcountries.OurunderstandingofCVDanditsevolutionoverthelast100yearshasalteredconsiderably.ReasonsfortheincreasedrateofCVDinthedevelopingworldincluderapidurbanizationandthedemographicshiftknownasthemodernepidemiologictransition.ThecaseforinterventionisbasedonbothmajorhumanandeconomicimpactsofCVD.Ithasbeenestimatedthatcost-effectiveinterventionsindevelopingcountrieswithahighburdenofCVDcouldresultinaprojected24millionlivessaved.ThisreductioninCVDmortalitycouldreduceeconomiccostsby$8billion.Approachestointerventioninclude:1)cardiovascularhealthpromotionandCVDpreventionand2)actionplansadvocatedbytheWorldHealthOrganization.
