摘要
TheLancang-MekongCooperation(LMC)isthefirstcooperationmechanismledbythesixcountriessituatedalongtheLancang-MekongRiver.Sinceitsestablishment,theLMCmechanismhasdevelopedsmoothlywithfruitfulachievements.Todate,mostresearchontheLMC,bybothdomesticandforeignacademics,hasfocusedonenvironmentalprotectionandwaterresourcemanagement,butrarelytouchesupontheareaoftradeandinvestment.AsfacilitationofregionaltradeandinvestmenthelpsconsolidatethefoundationforLancang-Mekongcooperation,andalsoservesasanimportantcatalystforeconomicdevelopmentofLancang-Mekongcountries,itisimportanttoaccuratelygraspthestatusquoandchallengesinthisarea,inordertobetterintegratecurrentresources,pushindustrialupgrade,createuniformmarketstandards,strengthencoordinateddevelopment,andincreasethesub-region’soverallstrength.
