Theα-decayofneutron-deficientheavynucleifarfromstabilityisanindispensablespectroscopictooltostudytheirlow-energystructure.220Pa,atrans-leadisotopeneartheshellclosureN=126,itsdecaypropertiesarestillnotwellestablished,thoughitwasstudiedintwoα-decayexperiments30yearsago[1,2].Recently,weappliedsuccessfullythemoderndigitalpulseprocessing(DPP)technique[3,4]tothedecayspectroscopyintheZ≥91andN=128~131region[5]andthedecaychainof220Pawasestablishedatthefirsttime.
