摘要
Mostadultswithauditoryprocessingdisorder(APD)oftenhavetroubleatwork.ItispossiblethattheselisteningproblemsinadultswithAPDinfluencetheirmentalhealth.Thus,wehavetotakethesubject'spersonalityandmentalstatusintoconsiderationwhensupportingsubjectswithAPD.However,studiesonAPDinadultsarecomparativelyrare.Inthisstudy,weaimedtoevaluatetherelationshipsbetweentheresultsofauditorytests,APDsymptoms,andpsychologicalstatusinsubjectswithAPD.Thisstudyincluded22adultswhocomplainedoflisteningproblemsineverydaylife,andtheyunderwentauditoryprocessingtestsandwerequestionedregardingtheirpsychologicalcharacteristics.Fromtheresultsoftheauditoryprocessingtests,allsubjectsshowedlowscoresonatleastonetest;therefore,theyweresuspectedofhavingAPD.Especially,thescoreswerelowontheauditorymemorytest.Furthermore,subjectswithAPDshowrelativelysimilarpsychologicalcharacteristicstoeachother.However,therewasnosignificantrelationshipbetweentheresultsoftheauditoryprocessingtestsandpsychologicalcharacteristics.Wehavetotakenoticeofasubject'spsychologicalstatewhentheyperceivetheirlisteningdifficultiesasalarge-scaleproblemandfeelanxiousasaresult.Forthispurpose,weshouldtakepsychologicalcharacteristicsintoconsiderationatthetimeofthemedicalexaminationinterviewbeforeaudio-psychologicaltesting.
