摘要
MalignanttumorsorcancershavebecomeoneofthemostfrequentcausesofdeathinChina;cancertherapiesareattractingmuchattention.Becauseofthenoninvasivenatureofradiationtherapy,lesserphysiologicalandpsychologicalburdenisplacedonpatientsthancomparedtothatresultingfromsurgicalorpharmaceuticaltreatments.Hadrontherapy(heavyiontherapyandprotontherapy)isconsideredsuperiorapproachforthetreatmentoftumorslocatedinhighlysensitivetissues(brain,neck,eyes),pediatriccancers,andalsotumorsthatareresistanttoradiotherapy.
