Seismic Behavior of Diaphragm-Through Connections of Concrete-Filled Square Steel Tubular Columns and H-Shaped Steel Beams

摘要 Basedontheintroductionsofatypeofdiaphragm-throughconnectionbetweenconcrete-filledsquaresteeltubularcolumns(CFSSTCs)andH-shapedsteelbeams,afiniteelementmodeloftheconnectionisdevelopedandusedtoinvestigatetheseismicbehavioroftheconnection.Theresultsofthefiniteelementmodelarevalidatedbyasetofcyclicloadingtests.Thecyclicloadingtestsandthefiniteelementanalysesindicatethatthefailuremodeofthesuggestedconnectionsisplastichingeatthebeamwithinelasticrotationangleexceeding0.04rad.Thesuggestedconnectionshavesufficientstrength,plasticdeformationandenergydissipationcapacitytobeusedincompositemomentframesasbeam-to-columnrigidconnections.
