摘要
ThesecondauthorstudiedthenonlinearstabilityofN-layerquasi-geostrophicflowsubjecttoperturbationsofparametersandinitialdata,andestablishedthestabilitycriteriafortheflowinquestion,whichinvolvefindingoutthelowesteigenvalueofanellipticboundaryvalueproblem.Inthispaperwhenthedomainisaperiodiczonalchannel,aformulaofthelowesteigenvalueisestablished,whichisusefulforfurtherstudiesandpracticalapplications.
