Image interpolation algorithm on a triangular grid

摘要 Anewmethodforconstructingafittingsurfaceonatriangulargridispresented.Assumingimagesareobtainedbysamplingfromtheoriginalscene.Conventionalpolynomialinterpolationmethodsgenerallyconstructthefittingsurfaceonasquaregrid.Differentfromexistingmethods,thenewmethodconstructsthefittingsurfaceonatriangulargridwhichcandividetheoriginalsurfacemoredetailedandimproveapproximationaccuracy.Asthequalityoftheimageedgesplaysakeyroleinvisualeffectsofimage,thenewmethodusesimageedgesasconstraintstogetatrianglegrid.Thenewmethodconstructsacubicpolynomialpatchlocallyusingimagedatatoapproximatetheoriginalsurface.Experimentalcomparisonresultsofthenewmethodwithothermethodsshowthatthenewmethodcanproducehigh-qualityimagesandremovethezigzaggingartifact.
