Optimization Design for the Sandwich Piezoelectric Transmitters in Acoustic Logging

摘要 Anoptimizedtransducerprototypewithasandwichstructurevibratedlongitudinallyisproposedforatransmitterinacousticlogging,especiallyinacousticloggingwhiledrilling,bytakingaccountofdrillingenvironmentswithhightemperatureandpressure,aswellasstrongcollardrillingvibrationduringthedrillingprocess.Aimedtoimprovethetransmittingperformance,numericalandexperimentalstudiesforthetransduceroptimizationareconducted.Theimpactoflocationandlengthofthepiezoelectricstackonresonancecharacteristicsandeffectiveelectromechanicalcouplingcoefficientiscalculatedandanalyzed.Admittanceandtransmittingperformanceoftheproposedtransduceraremeasuredinlaboratoryexperiments,andtheresultsarecomparedwithsimulatedones.Itisshownthatthenewlyproposedtransducerhashighertransmittingperformancewithlowerresonancefrequencies.Thisworkprovidestheoreticalandexperimentalbasesfortransducerdesigningandacousticwavemeasurementsinacousticlogging,especiallyinacousticloggingwhiledrilling.
