摘要 Inthispaper,thefocusdepthdistributionofearthquakeswitheachmagnitudehasbeenanalyzed.Statisticdatashowthatthelowermagnitudeis,thewiderfocusdepthdistributes.Withlargermagnitude,thefocustendstobeconcentratedinupperormiddlecrustallayers.Weanalyzedthecauseoffocusdepthdistributionandexplainedtheprecursormechanismofsmallandmoderateearthquakeswithoccurringconditionandcharacteristicsofstrongearthquakes.Theresultsofthispapermaybeappliedtodeterminerisksitesofstrongearthquakes.
