Electrostatic self-assembly of CdS nanowires-nitrogen doped graphene nanocomposites for enhanced visible light photocatalysis

摘要 CdSnanowires-nitrogendopedgraphene(CdSNWs-NGR)nanocompositeshavebeenfabricatedbyanelectrostaticself-assemblystrategyfollowedbyahydrothermalreduction.TheCdSNWs-NGRexhibitshigherphotoactivityforselectivereductionofaromaticnitroorganicsinwaterundervisiblelightirradiationthanblankCdSnanowires(CdSNWs)andCdSnanowires-reducedgrapheneoxide(CdSNWs-RGO)nanocomposites.TheenhancedphotoactivityofCdSNWs-NGRcanbeattributedtotheimprovedelectronicconductivityduetotheintroductionofnitrogenatoms,whichthusenhancestheseparationandtransferofchargecarriersphotogeneratedfromCdSNWs.OurworkcouldprovideafacilemethodtosynthesizeNGRbasedone-dimensional(1D)semiconductorcompositesforselectiveorganictransformations,andbroadenthepotentialapplicationsforNGRasacocatalyst.
