Effect of an adverse pressure gradient on the streamwise Reynolds stress profile maxima in a turbulent boundary layer-中国期刊网

摘要 Itiswidelyacceptedthatinaturbulentboundarylayer(TBL)withadversepressuregradient(APG)anouterpeakusuallyappearsintheprofileofstreamwiseReynoldsstress.However,theeffectofAPGonthisouterpeakisnotclearlyunderstood.Inthispaper,theeffectofAPGisanalysedusingthenumericalandexperimentalresultsintheliterature.BecausetheeffectofupstreamflowisinherentintheTBL,wefirstanalysethiseffectinTBLswithzeropressuregradientonflatplates.Undertheindividualeffectofupstreamflow,anouterpeakalreadyappearsintheprofileofstreamwiseReynoldsstresswhentheTBLcontinuesdevelopinginthestreamwisedirection.TheAPGacceleratestheappearanceoftheouterpeak,insteadofbeingatrigger.
